Video Improv Concert Online

The Fundación Juan March in Madrid recently published a video with highlights from the improvisation recital I gave there together with Johannes Keller in March 2023. Please click here for more information.

The video features the beginning of the concert, an arrangement of Byrd’s “Hugh Ashton’s Ground” in which we combined some original variations (where I sometimes double or take over one of the upper voices in the harpsichord) with improvisation on the same bass.
Then there is a diminution on “Susanne un Jour”. In the concert, we played the piece twice, the first time relatively simple and the second time with more elaborate and fast diminutions. The video starts at the beginning of the second round - for those who might ask why I am playing so much right from the start!
