Beethoven & Schubert in Delft

From the 1st until the 4th of August 2019 I participated in the Delft Chamber Music Festival: this year’s programme included many performances on period instruments. I played second violin in Beethoven’s 4th piano concerto (arranged for piano and string quintet by Lachner) and Schubert’s famous Octet for five strings, clarinet, bassoon and horn. It was very enjoyable to work on this repertoire that we don’t get so play so often (especially the octet) with the following outstanding musicians:

Olga Pashchenko, fortepiano
Nicola Boud, clarinet
Evolène Kiener, bassoon
Teunis van der Zwart, horn
Cecilia Bernardini, violin
Emlyn Stam, viola
Marcus van den Munckhof, cello
Ying Lai Green, double bass
