Summer course in Feldkirch, Austria
From the 30th of July until the 6th of August 2023, I will be one of the teachers of the 8th international masterclass for chamber music organised by Forum Alte Musik: St. Gerold. This year’s course is about French Baroque music.
French music offers a lot of challenges in terms of creation of an ensemble sound with different instruments on the same line, differentiation of rhythm and inégalité, ornamentation, setup of the instruments and playing technique. I have been working extensively on this with my Ensemble Odyssee, and I am very much looking forward to doing the same with the participants of the course.
