Cantatas for bass with Stephan Macleod

This CD features not only the famous bass cantatas “Ich habe genug” (BWV 82) and “Amore traditore” (BWV 203) but also “Ich will den Kreuzstab gerne tragen” (BWV 56) and “Der Frieden sei mit dir (BWV 158)”. The latter consists of two recitatives, one choral for four voices, and an extensive aria accompanied by a solo violin and basso continuo.

It was a great pleasure to perform and record this programme with my fantastic colleagues Stephan Macleod (bass), Emmanuel Laporte (oboe), Bertrand Cuiller (harpsichord) and Gli Angeli Genève.
